At Trattoria Villa Romana Kungsholmen, both small and large groups can gather for an Italian birthday dinner in a warm and relaxed trattoria setting.

The restaurant is located at Kungsbroplan 1, 112 27 Stockholm, about an eight-minute walk from Stockholm Central Station and Cityterminalen. Here we serve handmade pasta, pizza from our wood-fired stone oven and Italian dishes for family celebrations, surprise dinners and milestone birthdays.

For smaller parties, you can book a standard table in the dining room. If you'd prefer a more private setting, you can book our private chambre séparée. We also welcome larger parties and offer the option to hire the entire restaurant.

The booking option that suits you best depends on how many of you there are and how you wish to celebrate.

Table booking – up to 8 guests

For parties of up to eight guests, a standard table booking in the dining room is a simple option. You can order from our regular menu and enjoy the restaurant's relaxed trattoria atmosphere. No advance food order is required for a standard table booking.

A party of exactly eight people can also book our chambre séparée. In this case, a set menu and advance food order are required in accordance with the terms and conditions for the private room.

Private dining room – 8–12 guests

For parties of 8–12 guests, we offer a completely private dining room with its own entrance.

This secluded room is ideal for birthday dinners, surprise parties and family gatherings where you'd like to be able to chat, give speeches and celebrate in peace.

Bookings for the private dining room require a pre-ordered set menu. Please send an enquiry stating your preferred date and number of guests, and we'll confirm availability and help you plan your celebration.

Larger parties – up to 65 guests

If there are more than 12 of you, we'd be delighted to welcome your party in our open dining room. The restaurant can accommodate groups of up to 65 guests, depending on seating arrangements and layout.

For larger parties, our group set menus apply, subject to advance booking. We'll help you with seating arrangements, the menu and practical planning ahead of your visit.

Please include your preferred date and time, number of guests, dietary requirements and any other requests in your initial enquiry.

Book the entire restaurant

If you'd like to have the whole of Villa Romana to yourselves, you can send an enquiry to book the restaurant exclusively for your birthday celebration.

We'll provide a personalized quote based on the date, time, number of guests and your preferred arrangements. A deposit is required to confirm the booking, and the menu and times are agreed in advance.

Availability depends on the restaurant's capacity and the size of your party.

For bookings in the private dining room and other group bookings of eight guests or more, advance ordering of food is required.

Final menu choices, along with details of any allergies or other dietary requirements, must be provided at least 48 hours before your visit. The booking confirmation will specify when the final number of guests needs to be confirmed.

We offer set group menus where guests can choose from three different main courses. Vegetarian and vegan options are always available.

Please let us know about any allergies or other dietary requirements well in advance, so that we can confirm which adjustments are possible for your party.

To complement the group menu, we can also offer Italian wine packages, personalised wine recommendations and non-alcoholic alternatives.

Milestone birthdays

Are you planning a milestone birthday or a major anniversary? Depending on the size of your party, you can book a table in the dining room, our private chambre séparée or the entire restaurant.

We'll help you find a set menu that feels festive, personal and relaxed.

Surprise dinner

Are you planning to surprise a partner, friend or family member? Our private chambre séparée is a great option for groups of 8–12 guests.

The separate entrance allows guests to gather privately before the birthday guest arrives. Let us know your plans when you book, and we'll help you organise the arrival and seating arrangements.

Birthday with the family

Villa Romana is also ideal for multi-generational family celebrations. Our private chambre séparée provides your party with a room of its own where both younger and older guests can celebrate in peace.

3. Confirm your booking

Once the arrangements are finalised, we will confirm your booking, the menu, the time and other practical details. A deposit is required for exclusive bookings of the entire restaurant.
